Ashdown at NAMM 2025: A Celebration of Bass Innovation

This year at NAMM 2025, we proudly unveiled a collection of powerhouse bass amplifiers, each crafted with precision and passion: the Shavo Odadjian SO-1200, the Rex Brown RB-800, and the Studio-4. From legendary artists to enthusiastic bassists, our booth was buzzing with excitement as players got hands-on with our latest creations.

The Shavo Odadjian SO-1200: Uncompromising Power

We’ve been working closely with Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down to bring his sonic vision to life, and the result is the SO-1200 – a signature bass amp based on our classic ABM-1200. Built to deliver deep, aggressive tones with the precision and clarity Shavo demands, the SO-1200 turned heads at NAMM as Shavo plugged in and unleashed its raw power.

The Rex Brown RB-800: A True Rock Machine

Another major highlight was the debut of the Rex Brown RB-800, a UK-made beast based on our Rootmaster 800 EVO III. Crafted for Rex Brown, legendary bassist of Pantera, this amp delivers the perfect blend of punch, growl and warmth. This amp was featured on the booth and the response was phenomenal. Bassists looking for massive tone with no compromise were all over this amp – and we can’t blame them!

The Studio-4: Portable. Precise. Built for Bass.

For those who need serious tone in a portable form, we unveiled the Studio-4, our new battery-powered bass amp. Whether you’re practicing at home, jamming on the road, or busking in the streets, the Studio-4 delivers that unmistakable Ashdown tone wherever you go. This little powerhouse quickly became a favourite among players looking for ultimate portability without sacrificing sound quality.

A Gathering of Bass Enthusiasts

It wouldn’t be NAMM without some of the best bass players stopping by to put our gear to the test. We had an incredible 3 days of players dropping in, from hard rock and metal to funk and jazz players – all eager to plug into our latest amps. The energy on our booth was electric, with jaw-dropping performances and impromptu jams happening all weekend long!

NAMM 2025: A Resounding Success

We couldn’t be prouder of what we showcased at NAMM this year. Seeing the excitement and hearing the feedback from the bass community reminds us why we do what we do. To everyone who stopped by to check out our new releases, thank you for your support!
