A sad day for the UK music industry…
Today marks a very sad day for the UK music industry.
For those of you who have/had purchased an Ashdown from PMT over the years we will continue to support you in terms of warranty repairs and more (with proof of purchase).
Then for those of you with products in for service via a PMT store in the UK. Please get in touch with us directly so we will be able to make sure you receive the best possible service given the situation.
As we understand it PMT’s physical locations have all closed, with so many great friends across the chain now looking for work it is a very sad day for the UK Musical Instrument industry.

Gear 4 Music has issued the following statement that can be read in full in the link below:
https://www.gear4music.com/information/PMT
What has happened to PMT?
The company has entered insolvency and appointed insolvency practitioners. Certain assets, including some stock, branding, and websites, have been sold to Gear4music Limited. The original company, however, still legally exists and remains responsible for its liabilities, but may not have funds to meet them.
Gear4music has purchased certain stock, together with certain intangible assets including websites and trademarks from the Administrators of PMT.
For clarity, Gear4music is not acquiring any part of PMT's trading business, nor any other assets or liabilities, and has no current plans to use the PMT trading name.
For the Music Community
The closure of PMT will be felt across the music community. It’s a change that will be felt not only by customers, but by the people behind the brand – and across the wider music community that PMT served for many years.
Like many of you, we were saddened to hear the news. Over the years, we’ve worked alongside the same suppliers, shared industry spaces, and even welcomed a few former colleagues into our team. This moment affects many people – and our thoughts are with everyone impacted.
