Ashdown's double headline appearance at London's OnBlackheath Festival

Ashdown Engineering made a double headline appearance at OnBlackheath Festival this weekend, on stage with both Travis and The Libertines. 

OnBlackheath festival provides two days of unforgettable music, food and family entertainment in an inclusive atmosphere in the best city in the world.

Saturday 9th September saw Travis play the entire length of their classic album, ‘The Man Who’, in full. Released in 1999, the album spent 11 weeks at number one, has sold over 2.6 million copies to date and features the singles ‘Turn’ and ‘Why Does It Always Rain On Me’.

Travis’ bass player Dougie Payne was powered with his longstanding Ashdown ABM rig.

The Libertines headlined the second day of the festival ahead of the band’s upcoming ‘Tiddely Om Pom Pom’ tour which kicks off later in September and will see the band play a small handful of shows in seaside towns around the UK, including Blackpool, Plymouth, Lowestoft and Brighton.

Libertine’s bass player John Hassall stood in front of his Ashdown ABM rig, which consisted of two ABM 900 heads on top of two ABM 810 cabs. John’s heads have since been delivered to Ashdown HQ in Essex for a service before heading out on The Libertines’ seaside tour.

The team at Ashdown Engineering are extremely proud to see their amps powering all headline acts at another summer festival. Earlier this summer Ashdown powered the main stage each night at Glastonbury with Radiohead on Friday, Foo Fighters on Saturday and Biffy Clyro on Sunday.
