NAMM 2019 Review

Well that was as fun as always!

This year for some reason set up seemed a little on the quiet side some people not getting to the show until Wednesday afternoon in a mass panic to build their booths in time, us on the other hand got into the show nice and early on Monday morning due to jet lag and the early mornings that come with it...

To be honest we were pretty much set up and done by around 3pm on Monday with only a few finishing touches needed for the booth we headed out for the day. We came back for a few hours on each day before the show started on Thursday tidying and making sure everything was in it’s right place.

We always try to make the most of our time in sunny LA after all it is a long way to go and just do the show, so we headed out to see a few friends while in town including James LoMenzo’s 60th birthday jam at the world famous Whiskey a Go Go and also getting the chance to head over to Shavo’s studio in North Hollywood to listen to his latest projects...

This year we launched our new guitar amps under our Ashdown banner, the first time since NAMM 2005 we have had Ashdown guitar amps on display, we must say thanks to all for he kind comments and feed back on the products it was very encouraging for the year ahead.

It was a good show in way of people this year coming by to say Hi, everything seemed to be quite easy going for the first day of the show, then the pace picked up through till end of play on Saturday where we were met with thousands of people waiting to get their photos taken with their favourite musicians from around the globe, this year we had Shavo Odadjian from System of a Down on the booth signing and launching his mighty New 22-HEAD a limited artist edition 600 watt bass head.

We also had the pleasure of getting to know our newfound life long friend David Richards who will be taking up bass duty’s with Shaggy later this summer. Congratulations to Mrs Richards on the birth of their daughter, Dave we hope you got home in good time... Much love to all!

Sunday at the show was nice and relaxed, it gives us the chance to walk the show before it opens and see if there is anything new or exciting being displayed at the show.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth it was great to see so many of you!! Until next year, well some of you I’m sure we will see before NAMM... Thanks everyone!
