JOB: UK Service/Test & Warehouse Engineer – Ashdown Engineering

Job Summary

We are looking for a keen service and warehouse Engineer to join our team at our Essex HQ in a full-time position. A good understanding and experience are required in repair/service of solid state and valve instrument amplification. Full product specific training will be provided. The ability to communicate with customers via e-mail and phone on technical matters regarding our products is very important.

You will need to assist where necessary with UK production, this will include testing, final assembly and packing of the products. Other duties will include picking orders required for daily dispatch and export orders. This will entail ensuring all documents required are with each specific order and you will need to coordinate this with our sales and export team. A good understanding of Microsoft Office is required. 

The UK service centre is located in Heybridge, Essex, and you will be expected to be in the office Monday-Friday. With a growing demand for UK built products we are excited to be expanding our team and look forward to welcoming the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Daily service and customer enquiries to be answered via e-mail.
• Daily dispatch via TNT - Orders to be picked and readied for dispatch.
• Assist production with test requirements.
• Final assembly and packing of UK build products.
• Warehouse organisation and stock management.
• Assist with servicing of products as well as coordinating with the customer the return of the products.

Qualifications and Skills

-           Experience in the repair and testing of electronic equipment both solid state and thermionic amplifiers.

-           Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-           Bass or guitar player is preferred.

-           Independent and self-reliant.
