Ashdown Engineering appoint Algam for the EU
Ashdown Engineering the UK leading Bass Amplification specialists are proud to announce the partnership with Algam for exclusive distribution for Continental Europe, Maghreb and Middle East from February 1st 2023.

After a long relationship with Algam over the past 40 years we have always remained in touch and shared a mutual respect. After opening AlgamEko for the Italian market the opportunity came around to take the relationship further across the entire EU, having previously worked with a number of their divisions over the years from Music Distribution in Spain, AB Music in Benelux as well as the retail outlet Woodbrass.
Ashdown will sit within the company’s Gaffarel division alongside some great brands, the team in place have a long history within the industry and are ready for the task at hand. With the goal to re-establish Ashdown once again in the EU as the number one brand for bass.
With a strong European network Algam have set out a clear plan for the brand and product offering, looking at the best-selling products and focusing the EU offering accordingly. This opens new opportunities at Ashdown, with a clear product development plan into 2023 Ashdown will focus their attention to research and development in the UK and focus on supporting its home market.
With a global family of users that runs across all spectrums of the bass playing community, Ashdown Engineering remains as true to its roots today as in 1997, giving it a unique place in the hearts of bassists who know that just like them, Ashdown has bass in the blood.
