Classic Power, Modern Flexibility

The Ashdown SX-50H is a 50-watt all-valve head, designed for guitarists who want authentic tube character with the versatility to cover every playing situation. Powered by three ECC83 preamp valves and two EL34 power valves, it delivers the warmth, richness, and dynamic response that define true valve tone, whether on stage, in the studio, or at home.

Three Channels, Endless Expression

The SX-50H offers three footswitchable channels for maximum tonal variety. A pristine clean channel comes with its own independent EQ, while two overdrive channels share a full EQ section by each have dedicated gain and volume controls. From sparkling cleans to crunchy rhythm tones and soaring lead sounds, the SX-50H covers the entire tonal spectrum.

Built-In Effects and Expansion Options

Adding depth and ambience is easy with the onboard digital reverb, while a series effects loop with level control ensures seamless integration of your favourite pedals and multi-effects. This flexibility allows you to expand your sound without sacrificing the SX-50H's all-valve core character, making it a reliable centrepiece for any guitarist's rig.

Ready for Studio and Stage

Beyond live performance, the SX-50H excels in the studio. A speaker-emulated recording output allows you to capture the feel and response of a classic cabinet directly, ensuring your recordings retain the warmth and authenticity of a valve amp without the need for microphones. This makes it a versatile tool for home recording as well as professional studio work.
