Boss Cass is Devon’s very own hip hop / party punk one-man band. Simply put, it’s punk music for people who don’t like punk music. On stage it’s just Cass, some Amp, a Boombox for a drummer and a boat load of energy.

The man behind the Cass mask is Ollie Andrews, a proud Ashdown artist of 9 years. Ollie has carted our gear to over 200 of his DIY live shows as of 2024 covering everything from sweaty basement gigs to BBC Introducing Sessions to repeat appearances at Glastonbury festival. No stage too small, nor too big for this one-man punk rock rascal.

Ollie first got into the Ashdown brand after accidentally joining a band on bass and needing to buy a reasonably priced amp to cover the live shows. This led him to the wonderful Rootmaster RM-220 and matching 410 cab. But the amp that made him fall in love with the brand was the classic LB30 ‘little bastard’ Class-A 30W head and matching VS-212 Cab. This amp setup has been his bread and butter bass setup delivering full-fat fuzz and drive power for all live shows ever since.
