Richie Buxton

Hailing from Melbourne, Richie is a bassist, songwriter and producer best known as the longtime musical partner of Ecca Vandal. Together, they have created a fearless sound that moves between punk, hip-hop and rock.

In 2025, Richie joined Limp Bizkit on bass during their Latin American tour, respectfully stepping into the role following the passing of the band’s much-loved bassist, Sam Rivers.

We first met Richie backstage at Hellfest, where the Capri-23 quickly caught his attention. Within hours, it was prepped and stage-ready, and Richie was playing it during the final song of Limp Bizkit’s set.

Seeing him lift a bass we designed and built above his head on one of Europe’s biggest stages was an incredibly special moment for all of us.

A hugely talented player and a true creative, we’re delighted to welcome Richie to the Ashdown family.
