Matt Parker is a UK bassist and self-confessed gear nerd. He can be found gigging up to 100 times a year across the UK, providing session work for various musicians as well as playing bass in his bands Whalebone, Alucard and Body Asphyxiation Science.

He has a signature short-scale 5 string bass (The MP Shorty V) with Vuorensaku Guitars, and also proudly represents Alpher Instruments.

Matt started playing Ashdown after meeting Ashdown MD Dan Gooday at the UK Guitar Show and immediately being blown away by the dynamic nature of their latest ABM Evo V Head.
