The Double Drive John Myung Signature Pedal was born from Ashdown's collaboration with one of progressive metal's most revered bassists. Developed during the recording sessions of Dream Theater's latest album, the pedal was created to refine and enhance John's unmistakable tone. As a long-time user of the ABM-600, John wanted a pedal that would capture his voice on stage and in the studio, and Ashdown delivered.

Dual Drive Channels, Infinite Possibilities

At the heart of the Double Drive are two distinct distortion channels, each tailored to John's 6-string Music Man Bongo and his versatile playing style.
DRIVE 1: Harmonic distortion with Gain, Loud, and Tone controls, giving subtle warmth or more aggressive edge.
DRIVE 2: Vintage-style fuzz with Grit and Brun controls, ranging from warm growls to searing overdrive.
Stack them together, and the tonal options become virtually limitless, offering rich textures for both live and studio use.

Unique to this pedal are dual VU meters, allowing players to visually monitor both input and output signals at all times.
