A Bold New Look

The ABM EVO V takes a fresh approach to stage presence. Traditionally finished with the familiar ice-blue panel, this new generation moves to an all-black/grey front for a sleek, understated aesthetic that fits today's demand for a more discreet backline. The iconic illuminated Ashdown VU meter remains centre stage, and for the first time, is joined by a dual meter system that monitors both input and output signals, offering players even greater control.

The Core of ABM

All the hallmark features that define the ABM series are here: a 9-band EQ for precision tonal shaping, the 12AX7-powered Valve Drive for warm grit, on-board compression to tighten your sound, and the Sub-Harmonic Generator for earth-shaking lows. The EVO V refines these favourites while adding new design improvements, ensuring it remains the go-to head for professional bassists worldwide.

Engineered in the UK

Built in the UK, the EVO V integrates modern refinements for today’s demanding players. These include mains voltage switching for worldwide touring, a temperature-controlled low-noise cooling system for dependable performance under pressure, and a transformer-isolated DI output that ensures a pristine signal for front-of-house and recording. Every element has been considered to deliver pro-level functionality and bulletproof reliability.

Power Without Limits

Under the hood, the EVO V introduces the most dynamic output stage ever fitted to an ABM, pushing an immense 750 watts of pure power. This means greater headroom, faster response, and effortless delivery across any genre or venue. Whether it’s laying down subtle studio lines or dominating the biggest festival stage, the EVO V offers the confidence of unrelenting authority in every note.
