The Rootmaster really is the Swiss army knives of bass amps. The NEW RM-EVO III heads now come with the option to rackmount the units with the provided rack kit, as a common request from the bass playing community. Available in 500 watts or a hearty800 watts of tour proven power.
Responsibly designed and engineered to last, the Ashdown Rootmaster series is not just another bass amp it is a tool that should last a lifetime if the correct care is taken. As a manufacturerwe have a responsibility to ensure our products do not end up in landfill sitesaround the world and as such we can ensure our products are repairable down to a component level for a lifetime.

Today the trend of silent stages and in ear monitoring is something we have to consider as an amplifier manufacturer, we still want to make bass amps ; ) As withall our designs in terms of R&D we are very much customer driven in terms of developmentand having listened to many of you, we have designed our NEW Analogue Cab Sim Di output featured on the NEW Rootmaster EVO III.
Now for the fun part, we have developed a series of filters to offer a few alternative options on how your Di signal is fed to your monitor mix, front of house or DAW... These options have been carefully tuned to mimic the response of our ABM cabinets.

We start with a simple option to engage the CAB SIM DI or the BALANCED DI output using the XLR DI option. Then on to the ENCLOSURE options of either PORTED or SEALED, this changes the resonance of the output extending the bottom end when sealed and thentightening it up when ported.

You then move onto the SPEAKER option with two simple options of either a 10” speaker or a 15” speaker. Chosen for their different characteristics the 10 sounds as it should, tight with a definedmid-range.The 15 for its depth and clarity. Then onto thenext option of HORN with a simple IN or OUT option, this gives a high-end increase around 5k to emphasise where a horn would sit within a cabinet.
