Reading Festival 2019
Well the weather was on our side this weekend, with a heat wave sweeping the UK over the August bank holiday weekend, we couldn't have wished for a better way to spend it. In a field with amazing bands and great friends from around the world. Its great to get the chance to see so many people under one venue over one weekend. As we have mentioned previously Reading holds a special place in our hearts having attended nearly every one since the year 2000 it is almost like a second home.... A little louder and a load more people than we normally have over but you get the idea...
The weekend kicked of on Friday with a massive line up including Ashdown artists You Me at Six and many more over the course of the day including Circa Waves we were able to catch up with old friends form the 1975 and talk gear and generally chew the fat. Saturday was great, hot and sweaty but great with some great performances from some more of your pop friendly stars including the awesome Billie Eilish. Sunday is normally a more Rock orientated day and this year was no exception with our good friends and mighty rock band the Foo Fighters taking to the stage to headline the event for the 4th time having played the festival 9 times over the past two decades they have been a band from playing the NME tent in 1994. We also had Bastille headlining the NME tent who played a great set to a packed tent so much so we could only just see through the opening, considering the mighty Foo's crowd it was great to see such a diverse range of artists and performers over the event that has spread its wings from the rock heavy days past into a more general music lovers event. We remember standing there watching Daphne and Celeste get bottled of stage as was the first real pop duo to take to the stage in 2000.
