Nate Mendel visits Ashdown HQ
Whilst in town, Nate Mendel popped to see the guys at Ashdown in Essex.
Yesterday, ahead of tonight’s one-off show at London’s O2 Arena, Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel paid the team at Ashdown a welcomed visit, accompanied by his long-standing bass tech Geoff Templeton.
The Foo Fighters are in town for a special one off show at The O2 to celebrate the venue’s 10th birthday and to coincide with the launch of their latest album, ’Concrete And Gold’, which came out last Friday.
As usual, Nate will be playing through his duo of BTA-400 heads and CL810 cabinets at tonight’s show. However, whilst at Ashdown HQ Nate took the opportunity to test out some of Ashdown’s latest product line, including an OriginAL Head an RM-800 EVO - which happened to really take Nate’s fancy… Well, we do say the Rootmaster range is dedicated to hard-working bass players.
After some amp testing, the guys even chanced a Mexican lunch in Chelmsford as rumour has it Geoff is a global Burrito connoisseur.
