This year sees NAMM returning to January for the first time since 2020! With this opportunity we wanted to make the most of returning to Anaheim, and invited a bunch of our friends including the awesome Shavo Odadjian from System of a Down.
Shavo has used Ashdown since around 2001 and has become a very close member of the Ashdown family. We are excited to welcome him to the show and hear about all of his latest projects on the horizon…
Be sure to stop by the Ashdown booth #5114 on Saturday the 27th of January from 1pm to get an autograph and a selfie…
]]>James has been a long standing member of the Ashdown family since his time on the road with David Lee Roth. This year sees the release of his NEW second edition signature pedal the MEGA DRIVE.
Designed and engineered to James’s exact specifications, “I’ve been an Ashdown user for over twenty years and I’m both proud and excited to present to you my second signature, Hyper Drive distortion pedal. This one’s called the Mega Drive”.
“Ashdown designer, Dave Green, has taken our initial design idea to another Level with this new pedal, and it’s really something quite unique! If you love a focused edge distortion with the ability to widen or narrow the size and harmonic spectrum of the distortion circuit and mix it along with your bass guitar’s pristine tone, you’ve come to the right place! Now, take this Mega Drive and go out and make a big noise!” - James LoMenzo
“We were so excited for James when he got in touch to tell us about his new full-time gig as the bass player for US metal giants, ‘Megadeath’. The chance to work with James again on his signature pedal and sound was too good to pass up so we got to work on this new pedal!
James has always been a big influence on us as a player, his tone comes from his fingers, we are under no illusion that James would sound like James given any bass or amp, however he chooses to work with us and that is an honour in itself! Here’s to the next 20 years...” - Mark Gooday.
James will be at the Ashdown Booth #5114 on Saturday the 27th of January from 12pm.
]]>This year NAMM returns to Anaheim in January for the first time since 2020. Ashdown are excited to be able to have Geezer at the show this year, in conjunction with the release of his recent autobiography.
Featuring Geezer’s candid reflections on his working-class childhood in Luftwaffe-battered Birmingham, his almost-life as an accountant, and his fascination with horror, religion and the occult, ‘Into the Void’ reveals the softer side of the heavy metal legend, whilst holding nothing back.
In support of Geezer's recent collaboration with Ashdown, his signature models; the Pedal of Doom and Head of Doom, will be front and centre at the show! We are honoured to have him at the booth, and we look forward to welcoming you at the show.
Geezer will be at the Ashdown Booth #5114 on Saturday the 27th of January from 3pm. You will be able to purchase a signed copy of Geezers autobiography at the booth while stocks last.

The Cornhill venue was a free-to-all event which hosted an Adnams truck (with a special Brighten the Corners beer for the occasion). This area was filled with the music of the bands performing to the crowd that had gathered to enjoy the sunshine and atmosphere.
The Smokehouse was the most intimate of all the venues, with only a 70 person capacity there weren't many moment when it wasn't packed! The bands were able to fill the space as the audience danced and sung along.
The Baths was a bigger venue on the outskirts of Ipswich Town Centre, with plenty of space for the crowd to enjoy the music, this gave the bands an opportunity to play on a larger stage.
The largest venue of the Festival was the Corn Exchange, with a capacity of 850 people, this historic venue was a perfect venue for bands to show off their music and showcase their sound.
St. Stephen's Church was the newly renovated venue. This venue is the perfect venue for bands to be able to perform to fans in a bigger space utilising the amazing acoustics that a Church building has to offer!
The festival was the perfect event for music fans to enjoy what local bands had to offer, with a whole variety of different genres, there truly was something for everyone.
